Suspect At Large After Bank Robbery Inside Suffolk County Stop & Shop

A suspect is at large after a bank robbery inside a Long Island supermarket.

It happened on Sunday, Feb. 2 just after 11:30 a.m. in Farmingville.

A man entered People’s United Bank, inside Stop & Shop, located at 2350 North Ocean Ave., at 11:36 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said.

The teller complied with the man’s demand and gave him cash from the drawer, according to police. The man fled the store on foot toward Horseblock Road.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, approximately 40 years old, and about 5-foot-8 inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a blue ski jacket and a blue/gray ski hat.
